SINDHI CHARITABLE TRUST

SINDHI CHARITABLE TRUST IS A TRUST FORMED BY AFFLUENT SINDHIS TO HELP THE NEEDY MEMBERS OF THE SINDHI COMMUNITY AROUND THE WORLD.

"Sunshine Trust" has been created as a bridge between affluent Indians and the poor members of the community settled in remote parts of India.

The Objectives of the Trust are:

  1. Give a helping hand to poor families at the time of their daughter's marriage.
  2. Get handcarts, sewing machines and other tools to enable poor families to earn a living.
  3. Give a helping hand to the poor at the time of the death of a member of their family.
  4. Repair the roof of the poor during rainy season.
  5. Give an emergency help at the time of accident or other medical problem.
  6. Generally, ensure that at the time of any calamity, the poor people can approach some organization for one time help.

The Trust, which started work in April 1997, helps people directly in the time of their needs. It does not promote building of hospitals, schools, temples, etc (For these purposes a number of us are already donating on our own).

This Trust is giving handcarts, sewing machines etc for the needy to stand on their own legs. It also gives a helping hand at the time of marriage of poor Sindhi girls.
